In our community the current situation is this:

Youth have the desire to make an impact in the lives of others and society. Often outlets are not available that allow youth to do so in a positive way. Instead youth struggle to earn respect, and create a voice through illegal and negative behavior such as “tagging” or acting out sexually and violently. Recognizing this issue, Desert Reach seeks to create a place where youth will learn to use their voice to be leaders in the community. They will discover how to work through emotions and experiences in a positive manner along with developing constructive skills that can be transferred to everyday life.
